A New Tool to Boost Your Self-Esteem & Self-Confidence Online
As a personal passion project, Josh Shaw created I.C.E Cold Confidence—an interactive, affordable, and online tool created to help people develop their self-esteem and self-confidence from the comfort and safety of their home or office. Josh recognized there was a dire need for more mental healthcare options, and thus began his endeavor to build I.C.E. Cold Confidence—a course people can take without spending a fortune, without using vacation time to take a few hours off of work, and without feeling the stigmatization of seeking out help.
Lessening the mental health stigma will take time since millions of people still hear mental illness or think of a mental disorder whenever mental health is mentioned. Growing a healthy mental state runs parallel to physically working out—it points to getting stronger, sharper, more skilled, and seeing positive, desirable outcomes. Whether one lacked a positive role model growing up or one is looking to restore a broken down sense of self, I.C.E.is designed to guide individuals to have a convenient way to build the confidence and assurance they need to successfully affect their goals over the course of ten online sessions.
In collaboration with Dr. Jason Holland, a clinical psychologist, researcher, and therapist, I.C.E. combines two popular research-backed therapies, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, to transform lives for the long haul. Like any aspiration that is worthwhile, there is no quick fix to having a healthy self-esteem and self-confidence. But it’s never too late to learn self-confidence, whether you’re a teenager or a mid-career professional. I.C.E. provides a platform for users to reach new levels of success while building confidence, raising self-esteem, overcoming grief, overcoming small addictions, and more. I.C.E. users are encouraged to hold themselves accountable with each step and invest in a brighter and more successful future.
Users will learn:
- how to pinpoint their self-confidence problems
- how to be more mindful and aware of themselves in life
- how to challenge negative thoughts
- how to improve self-esteem and self-worth
- how to become a better problem solver
- how to communicate more effectively
- how to visualize success
- how to overcome fears of failure and rejection
- how to make decisions with confidence
- how to break out of old patterns
- how to discover their morals and values
- how to use guided meditations
Hosted by Josh himself, I.C.E. is individualized for users to experience a program exclusively catered to their needs. I.C.E. users answer principal and salient questions to navigate their path in the course and will also meet with Dr. Holland to obtain the private support and guidance they need when feeling stuck. Through I.C.E., Josh wants to help as many people as possible to become mentally strong in order to help them overcome every obstacle in their way on the journey to a fulfilling life. Josh says, “Believing in yourself doesn’t come naturally to anyone. Everything that stands in between us and anything we ever wanted is our lack of confidence.”
I.C.E. Cold Confidence launched on Wednesday, March 25, 2020.
