Big Ass Fans at Carnegie Mellon to Clean Classroom Air

For more than 20 years, Big Ass Fans has pushed the envelope and set out to innovate and pioneer airflow and air movement solutions.
In our current situation with everyone focusing on indoor air quality, the importance and impact of ventilation and proper air circulation and HVAC system design, we’ve resurfaced our research to provide powerful, proven air disinfection via airflow and expertise paired together unlike any other offering on the market.
From our studies in Rwanda that helped kill tuberculosis at Butaro Hospital to a higher demand in today’s climate, we’ve proven we know air and its power to provide a solution.
Of note in Pittsburgh, Carnegie Mellon’s recent purchase of our Haiku UV-C system.
Providing a means to actively clean air in occupied spaces is crucial as we get back together. Cleaning in-duct is helpful and cleaning with mobile units or surface wands help between shifts or class changes, but not while people are present in the space. That’s the gap we fill in the equation to return to our environments in a safer, cleaner, healthier way. One where a Clean Air System can provide powerful disinfection whether on speed 7 in the forward direction or speed 3 in reverse to keep occupants from feeling a draft in winter.
It’s time to get aggressive in the fight against airborne pathogens of all types and create better spaces to live, work, and play.
