Thomas Crotty came up with the idea of JynxLinks less than three months ago, meeting his launch deadline of one week before Election Day with the sole purpose of “chilling people out a bit.” Crotty designed JynxLinks: The Recount to be completely bipartisan; something unique and humorous to curb the anxiety Americans are feeling right now!
“I knew nothing about online software development, coding, animations, social media (still not on any of them!) structure, or hiring impersonators…. not to mention the social media content restrictions and approval challenges that our launch content presented,” says Crotty. “However, I have spent nearly my entire career starting, structuring, managing and growing multiple businesses in different industries so I was certainly prepared to take on this challenge. While developing and launching an app in just two and a half months presented its challenges, I want people like me – at the ripe age of 60 – to know it is possible to produce online games and apps without knowing how to write code!”
Today’s version of JynxLinks was invented as a direct result of Crotty thinking about COVDI-19 and the social, economic and political upheaval we are all facing right now. So, the idea’s inception and underlying premise is quite simple:
Just “chill out”, laugh (if for only 10 minutes!) and feel a little bit better (if only for 10 minutes!) knowing that you have helped someone today!
