Comcast and AspireTV Bring Channel to Millions of New Xfinity Customers

Xfinity TV customers in 12 additional markets can now enjoy AspireTV programming on channel 1627. Xfinity customers with X1, the platform that provides the most comprehensive library of entertainment with thousands of choices aggregating live TV, On Demand, and popular streaming apps from a growing collection of networks and streaming services, can also say “AspireTV” into the Voice Remote to access the channel.

The expansion is part of an ongoing commitment from Comcast to increasing access to best-in-class Black programming and amplifying Black voices and stories and providing a platform for the next generation of Black storytellers. Comcast currently offers its customers access more than 100 independent networks targeted to deliver content that centers on culturally diverse audiences. Additionally, its customers have access to thousands of hours of diverse on demand and online programming accessible across Xfinity video platforms, including specially curated destinations for Black, Latino, Asian American, LGBTQ and International entertainment content.

AspireTV is kicking off the year with the new series Side by Side, a docu-follow show featuring twin sisters Malika and Khadijah Haqq, with new episodes premiering every Tuesday at 8 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. ET. In February, the network will continue with its HBCU programming block and debut new seasons of HBCU 101 and Fast Break and will air top CIAA conference basketball games from 2017-2020.

As part of the network’s expansion with Xfinity TV, AspireTV is now also available in:
