Best Jobs for People Who Love Being Outdoors

There’s no better feeling than when you love your job or career. But looking for that specific job that you’ll love getting up for every morning might not be the easiest task. Start your search by identifying things that you love and enjoy. For example, if you love being outside, try to find jobs where the location is predominantly outdoors. Let’s start there! Below is a list of some of the best jobs for people who love being outdoors.

Farmworker

If you’re an animal lover who enjoys being outside, working on a farm might be the best career opportunity for you. Many different responsibilities come with working on a farm, including maintaining the structures and fences, handling the crops, taking care of the livestock, and maintaining and caring for the farm equipment. This job can be fast-paced and overwhelming at times, but it’s always worth it in the end.

Landscape Architect

While this career is very different from working on a farm, landscape architecture is another great industry for the jobseeker who loves the outdoors. This specific job includes drafting the plans and creating the structural path for the landscape of buildings and homes. It isn’t all outdoors; a lot of the designing and modeling happens in an office. However, they get to be outside on the jobsites and when meeting with their clients to create the perfect landscape.

Logger

Now we are getting to the outdoors! Working in the logging industry requires you to harvest trees and separate them for industrial and consumer uses. It’s a physically demanding job that works in all weather conditions. Not only do loggers help provide wood for numerous industries and businesses, but they help the environment as well. There is some training for this position as you need to know the industry and terms to ensure safety.

Survey Technician

Again, this is a very different career opportunity compared to loggers and farmworkers. Working as a survey technician means that you measure the earth and its many features. During the measuring, you compile data that you can use for creating maps and such. It’s also very useful for people like landscape architects.

Maybe none of the best jobs for people who love being outdoors we’ve listed here is for you, but they may point you in the right direction. Whatever the case may be, we hope you are one step closer to finding the perfect career for you!
