How To Remove Window Tint From Your Car

There are many reasons to add window tint to your car. They protect you from glare, provide security, and can make you feel safer.  However, tint only lasts so long, and some people find that while they liked it at one time, they don’t now. So now you have to figure out how to get it off. There are two basic ways to do this, by heat or by scraping. Depending on your reasoning behind removing the tint, you will find that one option will suit you better than the other. There is also a degree of difficulty with both that should be considered.

Scraping

There are several ways you can remove tint from your car. The first is scraping. However, a tip to be aware of here is that it is recommended that you never scrape if you can avoid it. The reasoning behind this is that you use sharp tools, and it’s easy to cut yourself or get hurt. Scraping can also damage the car by causing cracks, cuts in your vehicle, and uneven spots. It is recommended that you always go to professionals to remove window tint from your vehicle instead. They can ensure that your car escapes damage and that the tint is removed as safely as possible.

Heat

Heat is the other way to effectively. It will loosen the intact film, but you still may need to scrape in most cases when The heat method is another area where professionals are needed because you can burn yourself or damage your car. If you misuse heat, you will get streaks, discoloration, glue chunks, and in severe cases, you can break your window. On the other hand, a professional can use the heat correctly while making sure that your windows stay in perfect condition.

The Soap Method

One method for removing tint that is not talked about so much is where you use soap. The reason that this isn’t talked about is over ninety percent of the time; you will damage your windows and discolor them. Not to mention that it takes more than one occasion if you want to get it all, as most people don’t have the patience to sit and do it all at once.

Clear Sight

When window tinting is removed correctly, you will be able to have bright, beautiful windows and a car you can love. When your vehicle looks its best, it’s a mood booster for you as well. Take the time to get the job done right.
