5 Remodeling Tips to Lighten Up Your Restaurant for Summer

The summer season gets us all behind the doors with the scorching heat and sun shining right over our heads. It also reduces the business of restaurant owners. Being an unpleasant season, it keeps people away from outings and dining out. Restaurants do suffer slightly in receiving fewer customers. However, a change in the vibe of your restaurant and customizing it for the summers could resolve the issue. Since the summers are about bright colors, adding a pop to your restaurant’s color palette could prove to be a good idea. In this article, we shall be discussing some ways by which you could remodel your restaurant and lighten it up for the summers.

  1. The floor:

Like we discussed, summers are all about bright colors and glitter. Go through the layout of your restaurant and look for spots that look dull and need to be remodeled. Changing the flooring could be a great idea. You may choose a slightly brighter color palette for your tiles or flooring. A siding contractor could prove to be of great help not just in executing your remodeling plan but guiding you with the options you have. Make sure that the color of the floor goes well along with the walls and most importantly, the theme of the restaurant.

  1. Indoor plants:

Empty some space on the periphery or the walls and add greenery. Add as many plants as you can, to the interior of the restaurant. It will not just make the place look more closer to nature but also make it cooler. You could invest in some climbers and decorate them on the walls, or across the balcony. You could also invest in hanging pots and hook them on the walls. Buy some small-sized pots and place them on each table. Place some plants on the billing counter or the reception. Do not forget to water these plants and take care of them.

  1. Lights:

The scorching heat and the sun shining above one’s head make the environment outside a lot brighter, which makes the indoors look dimmer. And if your restaurant space isn’t well lit, it could just spoil the vibe of the place. Make sure that you invest very well in lights and lighten the entire space. You could also use mirrors in some places to reflect the light and in turn make the room or space appear brighter. You could use fairy lights to decorate the walls or the billing area. Some beautiful and artistic chandeliers could serve as a smart investment. They would not just lighten up space but also add to the look of the place.

  1. The menu:

Changing the menu is a diverse process. You don’t just add color to your menu or change its fonts, you also customize the dishes for the summer season. Add more refreshing drinks to the menu and salads. Add more green vegetables to the salad and other dishes like pasta or lasagna. The menu should be refreshing and when you name the items on the menu, you can be creative but make sure the names are relevant to the dishes and can be easily understood by the customers. The customers might take the help of the waiter when they are dining out but if they wish to order food online, an incomprehensible menu can set the customer off.

  1. Make the entrance intriguing:

The entrance of your restaurant is like the cover of your book. An intriguing cover gets one more reader and similarly, a well-designed entrance will indeed get you more customers. The entrance should go with the theme of your restaurant and should be well decorated. Add more bright colors to it and make sure you add some light to it so that it does shine at night too. Hang some plants on the entrance to make it look like a cool and cozy place where people can hang out during the summers. Try using glass doors for the entrance. It prevents the place from looking like a closed and suffocating space.

Conclusion:

To remodel your restaurant for the summers, start by changing the flooring. You may take the help of a siding contractor. Add some plants to decorate the space. Also, invest in lights and chandeliers. Reframe the menu, change the graphics, colors and add some refreshing beverages to the list. Make your entrance intriguing and relevant to the theme of the restaurant.
