NASA Selects Engineering Services Contractor

NASA has awarded Aerodyne-SGT Engineering Services LLC (ASES) of Cape Canaveral, Florida, for a contract to provide engineering services for spaceflight and ground systems.                  

NASA’s Mechanical Integration Services and Technologies (MIST) II is a cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract with a maximum value of $531 million and a five-year ordering period lasting through August 16, 2026. The contract also has one option for a six-month extension. This is a Small Business Set-Aside contract under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 19.

Under the terms of MIST II, ASES will provide engineering and related services for the formulation, design, development, fabrication, integration, testing, verification, and operations of space flight and ground system hardware and software, including development and validation of new technologies to enable future space and science missions. The contract calls for multidisciplinary engineering services with emphasis on the mechanical engineering of materials, structural analysis and loads, mechanical design, electromechanical design, thermal, contamination and coatings, manufacturing, and integration and testing.

The work will be performed at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland, and at other NASA centers and locations specified in each task order.
