NASA Selects Lifecycle Mission Support Services Contractor

NASA has selected Leidos Inc. of Reston, Virginia, to provide program, science, engineering, operations, and project management support at the agency’s Ames Research Center in Silicon Valley, California.

This is a cost-plus-fixed-fee contract consisting of core requirements and indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity task orders and has a maximum value of $270 million. The period of performance will begin Wednesday, Sept. 1. It will consist of a 60-day phase-in period, a two-year base period, and three one-year options.

Work under the contract will include biosciences flight development projects (including mission implementation, instrument development, and technology advancement efforts), collaborative science programs (e.g., astrobiology, virtual institutes), aeronautics research projects, and support for various Ames offices.
