The Best Tips for Choosing the Perfect Suit

Just about every man walking the face of the earth looks good in a suit. Many men have go-to suits that they can pull out for just about any occasion. When you’re trying to find the right suit for you, it can seem like there are a whole lot of options and variables—and there are. If you’d like to learn more about finding your next favorite outfit, check out the best tips for choosing the perfect suit here.

Color

If a man combines colors well, it shows that he has good taste. Look to the professionals for help when picking out the color of a suit. Usually, a basic color palette that consists of dark gray, dark blue, or black will work well. A less common but still versatile hue for a suit is the shade of dark brown. Classic colors like these are ideal for special occasions. You can select these styles for any number of functions, including weddings, funerals, and important meetings. Additionally, you can wear them in daily life if your career necessitates a traditional presentation.

Size

When you dress up, you should feel comfortable. You can accomplish this with the assistance of a precisely sized suit. Standardized sizes don’t match the physical attributes of many men. Therefore, you need to learn a few guidelines to assist you in memorizing your measurements. The buttons on the jacket should be firm but not overly difficult to engage. If your hand enters the sleeve opening too readily, the size is too big.  To find the proper jacket sleeve length, you need to take your measurement from the bottom of your thumb (the wrist) to the bottom of the jacket sleeve. A traditional suit’s slightly tapered pants should fit perfectly over your shoes without hitting the ground and creating a small crease in the front. Carefully considering size is the best tip for choosing the perfect suit. While you might be able to get away with a suit that maybe isn’t the perfect color or fabric, correct sizing is absolutely essential.

Fabric

The pricing and durability of the suit primarily depend on the quality of the cloth. Choosing a material made of wool with no added artificial fibers is preferable. You can get a cashmere or mohair suit with some fabric mixture. A multitude of fabric choices is available from a variety of men’s suit manufacturers. These differ to accommodate numerous factors, including taste, application, seasonality, and other attributes. Preferably, the interior fabric should be light and smooth, consisting of viscose or an acetate-based soft, hygroscopic material.
