CELEBRATE THE SEASON EARLY WITH NEW WORX DO IT YOURSELF HOLIDAY GIFTS

Beat the rush with WORX® new holiday gift ideas, including the WORXNitro20V Power Share Oscillating Multi-Tool, WORX Nitro 20V Drill-Driver and Impact Driver Combo and the new MakerX Glue Gun.  Useful products that help with home repairs and foster creativity are gifts that keep on giving long after the season is over.

The new WORXNitro20V Power Share Oscillating Multi-Tool is engineered to perform with the new WORX high performance brushless motor. The cordless go-anywhere oscillating tool is designed for do-it-yourselfers and pros. It’s capable of tackling multiple projects and repairs in the home or worksite.

The 20V oscillating multi-tool’s brushless motor features enhanced output, performance and dependability. The maintenance-free, brushless motor runs cooler with less friction and heat buildup than conventional motors with brushes, resulting in smooth, reliable operation and extended tool life.

The 20V oscillating multi-tool features Universal Fit, a true universal accessory system, which enables the multi-tool to accept other major brands’ accessories including Starlock® without adapters.  WORX universal accessories are manufactured to fit most other competitive oscillating tools, giving consumers the option of using WORX blades and accessories without sacrificing fit or performance.

The Nitro oscillating tool has a spring-loaded centering mount that positively engages accessories with the help of Hyperlock a tool-less blade changing system. Hyperlock helps prevent blade slippage and halted cuts by exerting one ton of clamping force.

Choosing the right accessory enables the cordless tool to cut, sand, grind, scrape, polish and rasp wherever the job leads.wx960l-2000x2000-300dpi.jpg The compact, ergonomic multi-tool has a lean tapered body with an overmold, comfort handle grip.

The WORX Nitro oscillating tool has a variable-speed dial of 8,000 to 18,000 oscillations-per-minute (opm). Higher speeds are best for cutting, sawing, sanding, rasping and polishing metal and stone.  Lower speeds are recommended for scraping old paint, hardened adhesives and caulk.  The multi-tool also features an LED light to illuminate the work area. The free-standing tool stands upright after use for easy retrieval.

The 20V oscillating tool weighs 3.1 lbs. with battery. It has an aggressive oscillating angle of 4°.  Included in the multi-tool kit are 2 bimetal and 2 wood cutting end-cut blades. The kit also includes a 20V 2.0Ah Max Lithium battery with charge level indicator, 1-hour charger and carrying bag.

The WORX 20V Power Share 2.0Ah battery is compatible with more than 35 other WORX DIY, lawn and garden tools and lifestyle products for cost savings and convenience.

The WORX Nitro 20V Power Share Oscillating Multi-Tool (WX697L, $169.99) is available at worx.com and homedepot.com (Tool Only). A bare tool version of the tool (WX697L.9, $129.99) minus the battery and charger also is available. The oscillating tool is covered by the WORX three-year limited warranty.

The new WORX Nitro 20V Drill-Driver and 20V Impact Driver Combo incorporates high-performance brushless motors that run 50 percent longer and are 25 percent more powerful than conventional brushed motors. This hard-working duo is capable of tackling DIY, construction, assembly and repair projects throughout the house and worksite.

WORX_Nitro 20V Impact Driver.jpgBoth Nitro drivers are equipped with high-efficiency brushless motors that run cooler with less friction and heat buildup than conventional motors with brushes, resulting in smooth, reliable, maintenance-free operation and longer tool life.

The WORX Nitro 20V Drill-Driver features a ½ in. all-metal chuck with 18+1 clutch positions for drilling holes in oak or driving screws in pine or drywall. The drill’s, two-speed gearbox has no-load speeds of 0-450 and 0-2000 rpm. The drill’s maximum torque is 531 in.-lbs., and the driver is capable of drilling 1-5/8 in. in wood and ½ in. in steel.

A cordless drill is capable of handling multiple projects. It makes quick work of household tasks, such as installing brackets for drapery or blinds, drilling holes for drywall anchors, attaching cabinet hardware, bathroom fixtures, replacing door sets and hinges, and other assembling work.

The Nitro 20V drill-driver is balanced and compact for nimble maneuvering. It has a variable-speed trigger and a comfortable, rubber overmold grip. The built-in LED light illuminates the work area when the trigger is pressed and indicates a low-battery charge level when flashing.

The WORX Nitro 20V Impact Driver is the go-to tool when it comes to tougher DIY jobs, especially those with repetitiveWX746.9_MakerXMiniGlueGun.jpg assembly work. It’s an asset for building decks, swing sets, fences, benches and picnic tables, among other projects such as removing stubborn or rusted fasteners.

The Nitro 20V impact driver has a ¼-inch chuck, and only accepts hex-shanked bits.  These bits are gripped evenly on all six sides by the chuck to prevent slippage.

The impact driver features three speed ranges of 0-900; 0-2400 and 0-3000 no load rpm. The corresponding impact rates are 0-1200; 0-3300 and 0-4000 impacts-per-minute (ipm). A built-in electronic digital keypad changes speed/impact selection.

An impact driver sinks a variety of fasteners with rotational force (impacts), minimizing stripped screw heads.  Because concussions are channeled to the fastener, there is no residual effect on the user’s wrist or forearm. And with 2300 in.-lbs. of torque, the driver can manage the most demanding jobs.

The Nitro 20V impact driver weighs 3.31 lbs. (with battery), and is powered by the same 2.0Ah MAX lithium-ion battery that powers the Nitro 20V Drill-Driver. The built-in LED light illuminates the work area when the trigger is pressed. The impact driver has a variable-speed trigger and a comfortable rubber overmold grip.

WX746L.MakerX Glue Gun.jpgIn addition to the WORX Nitro 20V Drill-Driver and Impact Driver, the combo kit includes two 20V 2.0Ah MAX Lithium batteries, a 1-hr. battery charger, two belt clips, one 2 in. screwdriver bit, one double-ended screwdriver bit (slotted and Phillips) and a tool bag.  Both 20V drive tools carry a three-year limited warranty. The 20V batteries are part of the WORX Power Share program, and are compatible with more than 35 other DIY and lawn and garden tools and lifestyle products.

The WORXNitro 20V Drill-Driver and 20V Impact Driver Combo Kit (WX960L, $189.99) is available at www.worx.com and Amazon.

A great stocking stuffer is the MakerX Glue Gun, ideal for hot glue applications of all kinds, including scrapbooking, decorating, art projects, costumes, clothing and making small repairs. The tool’s narrow-focus, .05 in. (12mm) nozzle helps assure precise glue placement.  Weighing only 0.24 lbs., its micro-ergonomic design assures user control and comfortable operation.

The innovative crafting system is centered around a MakerX Hub, which provides power to each compact tool in the system via a 4-ft., flexible power cord. The hub is powered by any WORX 20V Power Share battery.  The hub with a 20V, 1.5 Ah battery weighs 1.1 lbs. is included in some MakerX kits and is also sold separately.

The Glue Gun takes just 30 seconds to heat up to 285oF and 90 seconds to reach 400 oF.  A red indicator light signals that heating is in progress, and then turns green when the tool is fully heated and ready to use.

The Glue Gun’s runtime is approximately 2 hours, using WORX 20V 2.0Ah battery.  For safety, the tool is programmed to shut down when not in use after 10 minutes. The MakerX Glue Gun (WX746L.9, $29.99) includes 10 mini glue sticks (size .28 in./7 mm).  It’s available at worx.com.
