The Forbidden Court, Swords of Legends Online’s First Major Content Update Is Now Live
The first major content update for Swords of Legends Online — the dazzling massively multiplayer AAA role-playing game from Gameforge and Wangyuan Shengtang & Aurogon — went live today, November 18! Update 1.1, The Forbidden Court features brand-new zones and accompanying questlines integral to the ongoing story, two new PvP modes including Guild vs Guild, two new raids, and many more exciting additions. The content rollout begins today and will continue through November and December adding new challenges, ensuring players have plenty of content through the end of the year.
Surrounded by tall mountains and lush forests, the Floral Palace is hidden away from prying eyes. But those who find it will stumble into a history still unfolding — a history that will be shaped by a warrior of legend.

The Forbidden Court brings the following features to Swords of Legends Online:
- The Floral Palace: A brand-new zone, shrouded in mystery. The Floral Palace is packed with pivotal new story content, questlines, and a new unique world boss which continues with the story’s next chapter.
- PvP Modes: In Battle in the Sands, 20 players compete across two-stage matches; first in a free-for-all, then in a 10 vs 10 race for healing runes
- Guild vs Guild: The Fifty Islands of Chuyun is a brand-new zone where player alliances can collect materials and prepare for weekend wars in which sieges and all-out warfare grant rewards to the victors each weekend
- Raids: Two new raids—Sparkwood Gardens and Forbidden Court in the Floral Palace—will be steadily rolled out in different demanding difficulties with tons of rewards and higher-level gear. Players will need to come prepared for tackling these new challenges.
- Memory Box: Use Memory Fragments and you will be able to bring the existing dungeons up to new challenges and receive rewards on par with the current endgame content
- Additional Features: Side quests will be fleshed out with more lore through new biographies, added furniture will give players more home customization options, while the new Sunshine Cage minigame will add more fun and variety. There will also be extensive adjustments to class balancing.
Based on the legends that inspired the multi-award-winning television series, several movies, novels, and a series of games including the recent MMORPG Gu Jian Qi Tan Online — which first launched in China in July of 2019 — Swords of Legends Online introduces a fully remastered edition of the popular AAA saga to a whole new audience in Europe and the Americas, presented in glorious, high-definition visuals designed to take advantage of modern hardware. Legendary warriors will play as one of six initial classes and embark on incredible quests, join forces with formidable allies to take down challenging foes, and rest their weary heads in a home among the clouds — easily accessible thanks to their trusty flying mounts!
Swords of Legends Online is now available for Windows PC via the official Gameforge client, Steam, and Epic Games Store with text language support in English, French, and German, and English voiceovers. The game is available in three editions: $39.99 USD (€39.99), $59.99 USD (€59.99), and $99.99 USD (€99.99).
