CES 2022Press Releases

Meet your future cat doc, AI. Doolittle with PurrSong’s Next Lineup at CES 202

PurrSong, a pet-tech company focusing on cat healthcare solutions, has announced that they will be introducing three new products at Consumer Electronics Shows (CES) this coming January 2022.

The new products that will be showcased are LavvieWater, LavvieBox, and LavvieTAG.

  • LavvieWater is an IoT water dispenser for cats which enables users to check their cat’s water intake by monitoring water consumption that is circulated with motor-free hardware. It is also designed to provide fresh water by a 3 layered filter system which helps with reducing water scale.

Launch date: 2022 Q2 | Price: 199 USD (Estimated)

  • LavvieBox is a smart cat litter box that accumulates cat’s urinary and bowel movement data and weight patterns that would help detect a change on a daily basis in relation to cat’s health. Its exterior can be modified into three different shapes referring to a cat’s preference and add accessories for additional features. It provides an odor & dust free filter through an air-purifier as well.

Launch date: 2022 Q2 | Price: 249 USD (Estimated)

  • LavvieTAG is a fitness tracker for cats. By having cats wearing it on their neck, it collects cat’s activity data and analyzes their activities into four patterns; resting, grooming, walking, and running. Being lightweight and long battery life (1time charge = 4weeks) make it convenient for both cats and users.

Launch date: 2022 Q1 | Price: 99 USD (Estimated)

Above all, PurrSong has been working on “AI. Doolittle” which uses data collected from these IoT products and analyzes everyday data based on a machine learning system to detect any health signals or issues and alert users at an early stage. Its purpose is to bring accurate and practical healthcare services, eventually flagging cat owners about potential health risks which enables them to prevent severe diseases and reduce medical costs to PurrSong product users.

By using PurrSong’s own IoT products, AI. Doolittle is able to detect in regards to cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, urogenital, musculoskeletal and more health categories. As of now, AI. Doolittle’s precision reaches approx. 90% based on vet’s diagnosis result, but PurrSong aims for +95% to provide valid service to be released between Q3 – Q4 in 2022.

AI. Doolittle is designed based on big-data mainly accumulated from veterinarian’s diagnosis, user’s directly input data, and cats’ daily routine data gathered from IoT devices. Especially, LavvieBot S, an IoT automatic litter box which was once introduced at CES in 2019 by PurrSong, was the flagship product that could collect millions of streaming data of cat’s activity and litter use. DVM Cho is preparing for a research paper to present

anomaly detection of cat disease based on IoT data using deep learning classifier by the end of 2022.

PurrSong is anticipated to become the leader in the pet-tech industry with the debut of three new IoT products and high performance Artificial Intelligence. “By analyzing and monitoring everyday data of cats, AI. Doolittle is able to detect an individual cat’s potential health issue before it becomes a big problem” states DVM Cho from PurrSong.
