Plarium’s Mech Arena launches first in-game charity tournament
Plarium Global Ltd, a developer and publisher of mobile and PC games with more than 400 million users worldwide, today launched the Mechs Are Here event in 5 vs. 5 multiplayer shooter Mech Arena. For a limited time, players are challenged to destroy mechs to raise money for the AbleGamers charity. All players will be able to help raise funds for charity and win in-game prizes, while players in the US will be eligible for exclusive Epic and Legendary Prize Packs – with more in-game rewards, limited-edition merch, and 10 invitations to the Mech Arena Championship on Dec 16 where they’ll face off against teams of world-famous content creators. The winning team gets the ultimate prize – the opportunity to pilot a real-life mech.
Mech Arena is a 5 vs. 5 multiplayer mobile shooter made for everybody. Available for free on iOS and Android, Mech Arena offers action-packed, skill-based competitive battles brought to life through rich, vibrant 3D graphics. Choose from dozens of Mechs, each with unique Abilities, then customize them to suit your playstyle with unlimited combinations of different Weapons, Skins, and Paint Jobs. You can help Mech Arena support the AbleGamers charity simply by playing Mech Arena and blowing up Mechs. For every 100 million Mechs destroyed worldwide, Mech Arena will donate $10,000 to AbleGamers – up to a massive $100,000.

Mechs Are Here, and Santa Monica Pier has the scars to show for it. A shredded billboard, a battle-scarred Mech, and the scattered remnants of a spectacular Mech battle and the fans that came to see it – Los Angeles locals can find all that and more from Dec 3 to Dec 5 at Santa Monica Pier. Visit the site of Mech Arena’s inaugural event and pick up exclusive Mech Arena merchandise, as well as on-location access to a special AR filter to bring the Mech battle to life. For fans around the world, the AR filter will be available to everyone via mecharena.gg, allowing you to bring Mechs no matter where you are.
Players who visit Santa Monica Pier and share a photo of themselves at the event on Instagram and tag @MechArenaOfficial and #MechsAreHere will have the chance to win the ultimate mobile gaming setup worth $5,000.
