Celebrities Entering The World Of Gaming To Connect With Fans And Earn Cash

The entertainment arena brings an extra sparkle to the world with its star studded celebrities bringing amusement and joy.  People all over the globe are constantly looking forward to the next concert to watch their favorite musical artist perform or an award show to cheer the famous on.  Unfortunately, there was a pause and no tickets were being sold.  Eager fans were left disappointed after the pandemic caused many of their favorite musical tours to be canceled.  Leaving performers having to tap into other creative ways to monetize and still stay in contact with their loyal fans.

Coined as “quarantine concerts”, celebrities acted fast and found innovative ways to still keep their stardom light shining.  The livestream arena exploded with mini-concerts with the popular songs people love.  We watched John Legend, Elton John, Justin Bieber, and Dave Grohl fill our homes with their hit songs.  At the push of a button, households were able to log in from anywhere around the globe.  This allowed artists to recoup money lost as well as to build stronger relationships with their buying audience.

Live concerts and social media pop ups were definitely great for celebrities, causing them to have lucrative wins.  However, there was another money making stream having more and more entertainers excited to be a part of.  That is the gaming metaverse.  A global platform growing by the day.  By 2023, the industry is expected to grow to over 3 billion gamers.  A definite reason why performers are jumping on board the gaming train.

 One in particular is a prediction’s app, called VersusGame, which is the first of its kind.  The ability to make cold hard cash is being made available to everyone.  Matter of fact, an influencer recently made 1 million dollars in a year.  With an audience of over 20 million users, we can expect to see many more celebrities and influencers join to get a slice of this money making pie.  The beauty of the app is that it pays its user for their knowledge on pop culture, entertainment, food, and more.  Entertainers are merging their star power by creating original “polls” which in turn allows them to monetize and interact with loyal fans. We’re seeing popular stars like Jason Durulo, Josh Richards, and Noah Beck take part in the action.  The gaming industry is gaining so much momentum that it’s beating out the monthly profits that influencers receive from YOUTUBE.

With all the 2022 new trends set to arrive in the world of gaming, the industry is going to have to stay prepared and loaded.  Especially with all the buzz with celebrities and content creators ready to make some real cash and have a blast doing it.  One of the trends will be the older population desiring to connect with their grandchildren virtually.  This is why we’ll see more brain games that people over the age of sixty love.

John Vitti from VersusGame, a leading gamification platform that has rewarded people with more than 17 million dollars simply for being right, had this to say about what to expect in 2022….

Celebrities and content creators will continue to look for effective ways to engage their fans in a strategic effort to drive monetization.  Here are the few ways;

“Play to earn” is going to be HUGE.

“Play to earn” will continue to be the golden carrot to attract countless users across the globe to download gaming apps.  It’s a unique way to do what many already love while interacting with celebrities and making good money doing it.  Therefore, it’s enticing to not just the gamers but entertainers alike.  Everyone loves money and a little fun competition.

People are going to use games to monetize their meta/web 3 brands.

Staying visible in front of a buying audience is crucial for brands to gain recognition, repeat service, momentum, and monetize.  With the gaming audience predicted to grow to over 3 billion, meta/web 3 brands will certainly be taking advantage of this exposure.  We’ll definitely see their campaigns all over the gaming sector.

NFT games (own what you buy in the game) and online casinos will trend up.

Having “stake” in the game is taking on a whole new meaning within the gaming world.  Particularly speaking with the NFT (non-fungible token) being the new craze.  A trend providing its users the ability to own digitable collectables of some of their favorite gaming heros.  These tokens cannot be duplicated and they are a unique way for the gamers and developers to make money.

It’s apparent that the gaming sensation will not be stopping any time soon. Affording opportunities for celebrities to gain an additional lucrative stream of income while staying engaged with fans.  It couldn’t be a more timely and creative merge.  Especially with people feeling a bit more comfortable staying in their homes with the covid-19 variants still top of mind.

With 2022 emerging with new exciting gaming trends, we will continue to see a groundbreaking record of newcomers.  In addition, those that have been loyal gamers will be taking advantage of what the gaming innovators are bringing to the table. The life of gaming is thriving and many are grateful for its ability to incorporate star power!
