Taking a tiny island to the world stage – Tchia celebrates with new gameplay footage
Independent game studio, Awaceb (Fossil Echo), and Kepler Interactive, today shared a new gameplay mini-feature showcasing ocean exploration in the upcoming tropical adventure, Tchia, releasing in early 2023 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and EPIC Games Store.
The genuine love the Awaceb team have for New Caledonia, homeland of Awaceb’s co-founders, is overflowing in this gameplay snippet with its emphasis on cruising the glistening blue waters that surround the island, exploring the ocean depths and traversing the waterway of a beautiful archipelago . The art style, colour palettes and music come together to create something incredibly heartwarming and welcoming.
Away from the water, Tchia also draws inspiration from the flora and fauna of New Caledonia to create a charming open-world to explore – take control of almost any animal or object you can find, or jam on your fully playable Ukulele!
