The Women’s Choice Award for Best Hospitals™ uses third party quality measures to rate America’s top hospitals based on the preferences of women on clinical performance and patient experience. Women make 94 percent of healthcare decisions for themselves and are entrusted with making 59 percent for others, including family members and friends, and the Women’s Health awards were developed to help support their decision making.
The Women’s Choice award program uses the most recent publicly available information from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS), as well as accreditation information from appropriate sources. The measures associated with the awards were determined through surveying women across the United States to learn about their priorities when selecting a hospital.
