CES 2023Press Releases

CES 2023: Actronika is proud to announce that Skinetic has been named a CES ® 2023 Innovation Awards Honoree.

The world is getting ready for the next edition of the world’s largest trade fair dedicated to innovation. As in previous editions, the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) will take place from January 5 to 8 in Las Vegas. Among the innovations to be showcased is the haptic vest: Skinetic named a CES® 2022 Innovation Awards Honoree.

The CES innovation awards, owned and produced by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA)® is an annual competition that honors innovations with outstanding design and engineering in consumer technology products across different categories. A jury composed of industry experts including engineers, designers, media, and more, reviewed each submission taking into account aspects such as innovation, functionality, engineering, and aesthetics.

Among the innovations selected this year, the Skinetic vest by Actronika stands in the Virtual & Augmented Reality category. The product is recognized for changing the rules of how users interact with VR by allowing them to feel life-like sensations when interacting with the digital world.

“It is a great honor to be selected as Innovation Awards Honoree,” said Gilles Meyer – CEO of Actronika. “I am proud to work with such an awesome, dedicated and creative team to  develop a technology that has the potential to revolutionize how humans communicate with the digital world. We are excited to unveil the “Creator’s Edition” of the Skinetic vest at the CES”

Come and test the Skinetic vest at Actronika’s stand #1 in the European Pavilion ( Venetian Expo – Booth 55439) at CES from January 5 -8, 2023.

What is the Skinetic Creator’s Edition?

Recently named one of the TIME’s best inventions of 2022 , the Skinetic vest will be present at CES with the promise of unveiling the “Creator’s Edition”. This version will be a tool for designers and developers to easily design and create high-definition haptic effects through a haptic ecosystem developed by the company.

The Skinetic Creator’s Edition is scheduled for delivery to developers at the beginning of 2023 and the consumer version will be available by H1 2023.
