Akka Arrh Physical Preorders Open Friday on Limited Run Games; European Retail Coming Soon

This Friday, reserve your spot to get your hands on the most psychedelic gaming experience of the year with Jeff Minter’s Akka Arrh via physical release. To bring the physical version to fans on the PlayStation 4|5 and Nintendo Switch, Atari has partnered with Limited Run Games in North America and Numskull Games in Europe.

Preorders for the North American version begin Friday, March 10th, on LimitedRunGames.com. Physical editions will hit retail stores later this spring in Europe, including limited quantities of a special Day One Edition.

Akka Arrh’s physical release wouldn’t be complete without some eye-melting box art, which is just what popular Brazilian pop culture artist Butcher Billy has created for the physical editions. Two different versions of the key art will be available: one variant for North America and one for Europe.

About Akka Arrh

Developed by Llamasoft and legendary game designer Jeff Minter, who previously brought the original Tempest and its successor Tempest 4000™ to life, Akka Arrh embodies his signature light-synth style and ability to craft uniquely insane but extremely fun arcade experiences. A mesmerizingly chaotic tube shooter boasting a psychedelic visual explosion of color, Akka Arrh embodies the neon style and “just one more round” mentality of the arcade era perfectly. Blast through swaths of enemy waves while manning the titular akka arrh, a suped-up cannon just begging to be unleashed, and experience not just one of Atari’s rarest games, but one of the rarest games of all time!

Akka Arrh is available now digitally on PC via SteamXbox S|XPlayStation 4|5, and Nintendo Switch for $19.99 USD.
