KENWOOD USA announced the release of its latest automotive multimedia receiver with “CarWork:” the DMX6001CW.
Carwork allows busy people to display and work on spreadsheets, presentations, and even write computer code while traveling. This new receiver comes loaded with all the features needed to work from your car, including Bluetooth and a USB. It will also allow the driver to use the steering wheel controls as a mouse.
The DMX6001CW displays work spreadsheets, presentations and other work-related information on a clear resistive 6.8” touchscreen. KENWOOD product manager Rick Noetzli describes the screen as “just short of amazing.”
When asked if there were any safety concerns, John Lucas, KENWOOD VP of Sales stated: “We are recommending that people only use the advanced business features when on the highway, where the driver is less apt to encounter any sudden hazards. We feel that any perceived danger or insurance costs are more than compensated by the increase in productivity.”
Dave Hoag Executive VP said: “I feel great that we are first to market with such a powerful and diverse new product as CarWork. I think it’s something that corporations and small businesses have been clamoring for. We are going to require all our reps to utilize this amazing tool. It even has a special Rep mode that is in sleep mode until the 28th of the month. At KENWOOD we look at all new products through a lens that asks if this good for the environment, and we feel it is. The plastic used in the DMX6001CW is all PABA-free and the metals are recycled. We found this is something that salespersons and install technicians have been asking for.”
The DMX6001CW has a suggested retail of $1800.00 and will be available September 2025.
