ECD Auto Design Reveals Show Stopping V8 Custom Land Rover Dripping in Noble Luxury
ECD Auto Design (ECD), the world’s largest Land Rover restoration company known for its customized builds, including luxurious Defenders, Range Rovers and E-Types, today announces Project ACK40. The powerful V8 one-of-one Land Rover is the quintessential “mom SUV,” with room to drive the whole family around in chic British style.
“Project ACK40 is a picture-perfect example of a tailor-made ECD build – our ability to deliver Defender-inspired Land Rovers is unparalleled in terms of quality and client service. Beyond the aesthetics, we find out how the client plans to use the truck and design and the perfect vehicle for their lifestyle,” said Scott Wallace, CEO and co-founder of ECD.
The convertible offroader is the ideal blend of traditional and modern amenities, perfect for its West Coast home. Inspired by the original Defenders seen cruising on Nantucket, the one-off build features a personalized soft-top body style painted in eggshell white and a dynamic V8 engine under the hood. This build is especially versatile for on-the-go parents, able to dominate city streets on the way to soccer practice and enjoy weekend beach excursions with its all-terrain tires. Paying attention to the most minute details, the client added a multi-point roll cage and metal light guards, adding modern safety for other parents in the pick-up line to envy.
Nods to the specially made Series 2A’s iconic British heritage continue with a fully updated all-black interior, including a Puma dashboard and Puma seats wrapped in smooth Italian leather. All American gauges add another touch of uniqueness to this ultimate “mom build,” while the modern MOMO Prototipo steering wheel updates the driving experience for the twenty-first century. Project ACK40’s swoon-worthy tech is capable of pleasing both teen pop fans and classic-rock-listening adults, with touchscreen controls for CarPlay, Bluetooth and SiriusXM paired with high-quality JL Audio speakers and two Kenwood subwoofers.
