Introducing the motorola edge 40, a device completely submersed in style

Motorola expands the edge family with the motorola edge 40, a device that’s beautifully sleek, blending seamlessly in customers’ hands. Mixing style and performance, the motorola edge 40 features a borderless curved glass display and a curved vegan leather backing option and offers IP68 protection1, a 50MP camera system with the widest aperture available in a smartphone, and blazing-fast charging capabilities to get power for the day in just 10 minutes.2,3

One of the thinnest in its class (7.58mm), the motorola edge 40 features a borderless curved glass display and curved rear inlay that are joined together by a precision-cut, sandblasted aluminum frame. This combination offers both beauty and comfort as it nicely fits the contours of users’ hands and it’s ideal for those looking for a stylish phone with powerful specifications. Plus the soft, vegan leather material option makes it pleasing to hold and easy to grip. Beyond its looks, the premium design includes IP68 protection1 to protect against an accidental dunk under fresh water1, so it’s ready to accompany users on all of life’s adventures.

Fantastic photos with a cutting edge camera system

With a 50MP hi-res camera system that includes the widest aperture available in a smartphone (f/1.4), the motorola edge 40 captures beautiful, detailed photos.

The incredibly wide aperture means users can enjoy:

– Better pictures in low-light environments, so time of day is no issue

– A naturally soft focus background behind one’s subject for a professional touch

– Faster capture speeds to effortlessly freeze action, making candid photos as accurate as possible

Plus, the Ambient Light Sensor immediately sets exposure so photographers don’t have to worry about missing a fleeting moment when opening their camera. There’s also instant all-pixel focus for more accurate performance in any light, and OIS for crystal-clear shots. A 13MP ultrawide camera with Macro Vision completes the rear camera system, letting users fit more in the frame or get closer to their subject, and a 32MP hi-res selfie camera guarantees excellent group or solo shots in all lighting conditions. The motorola edge 40 also comes with an array of new video and camera enhancements like Horizon Lock Stabilization, Video Portrait and Vlog Mode to keep photographers up to date and on trend.

A cinematic experience for enhanced entertainment

When streaming content and playing games, a big, beautiful display is paramount, and the motorola edge 40 delivers a 6.55” pOLED display that features borderless curved edges for an all-encompassing view. The immersive display is complete with Full HD+ resolution, which makes for a sharper picture with less pixelation, along with HDR10+ certification and DCI-P3 color range for a wider range of colors that appear more vivid and true to life. When gaming, scrolling or multitasking, consumers can also take advantage of a fast and fluid 144Hz refresh rate to smoothly navigate their device.

The cinematic viewing experience is accompanied by immersive audio with Dolby Atmos®, which invites listeners into a richer audio experience by bringing out more depth, clarity, and details across their favorite entertainment – whether enjoyed through the device’s stereo speakers or headphones. Plus, Motorola Spatial Sound makes the sound coming from users’ headphones or speakers feel more immersive as it fills the space around them when they’re listening to music or playing games. All together, the motorola edge 40 display and audio offerings deliver an entertainment experience that is captivating and true to life.
