Solve an Ancient Mystery in Sci-Fi Adventure ‘Return to Grace’ Out Now on PC

Independent game developer Creative Bytes Studios announced that its new game, sci-fi narrative adventure Return to Grace, is available now on Windows PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. Developed by The Game Awards-nominated team behind The Vale: Shadow of the Crown, this new title represents a bold narrative step within the sci-fi adventure game genre.

Follow archaeologist Adamari “Adie” Ito in the year 3820 AD as she embarks on a wildly dangerous mission to uncover what happened to the ancient artificial intelligence known as “Grace.” Adie has made it her life’s work to get to the heart of why Grace, once renowned as humanity’s most outstanding technological achievement, went dark 900 years ago. Alone and faced with limited resources in a perilous environment, this journey could be Adie’s last.

In Return to Grace, players will solve puzzles and unearth clues in Ganymede’s retro-futuristic structure to get to the bottom of why Grace went dark so long ago. A carefully crafted story with branching story paths and decisions that shape the characters’ relationships, Return to Grace can be completed in a single sitting or replayed to discover additional secrets and multiple endings.

Adie is joined by a variety of AI characters as Grace’s fractured personalities support Adie with problem-solving and understanding humanity while also adding humor and heart. Adie and the AIs are fully voiced, and Return to Grace features a hugely talented cast, including Karen Knox (Far Cry 6Assassin’s Creed Syndicate), Athena Karkanis (ManifestSuits), Alexandra Ordolis (The MistShadowhunters), and Dick Terhune (Diablo ImmortalVampire: The Masquerade – Swansong).

Return to Grace is really a game about literal and personal discovery for both our protagonist and the people who play it,” said Paul Caporicci, CEO of Creative Bytes Studios. “We’re so excited to see which in-game decisions players make and look forward to seeing what meaning they take from the sci-fi adventure we’ve created.”

Key Features of Return to Grace:

  • Sci-Fi Sleuthing: Explore, investigate, and dig deeper into Grace’s origins and its connection to humanity by hacking the environment
  • Me, Myself, and AI: A fully-voiced cast of character AIs joins Adie, providing humor and perspective
  • Decisions, Decisions: In-game decisions shape Adie’s relationships with Grace’s personalities
