Atari’s Neo-Retro Platformer Mr. Run and Jump Has a Release Date and a Demo on Steam
Atari is pleased to reveal a July 25, 2023 launch date for Mr. Run and Jump, a wholly new take on neo-retro adventure-platforming. To celebrate the news, Atari has dropped a brand new teaser trailer, coinciding with the first available demo as part of Steam Next Fest. Mr. Run and Jump is a fluid and fun speedrunning delight that sends players on a journey through a dazzling and dangerous world, dodging enemies and conquering a trove of fierce platforming challenges.

Thrust into the beautiful Realms of Color, the titular Mr. Run and Jump must embark on a fast-paced, fluorescent adventure to defeat the menacing Void and rescue his missing dog, Leap. Envisioned as a speedrunner’s dream, this title demands players use their endurance as well as their dexterity. For those who want a more casual experience, Dynamic Assistance options allow players to set the level of difficulty they want. No matter the skill level, Mr. Run and Jump invites players to dash, dodge, leap, and race their way to victory.

To add to the excitement, Atari is going back to its roots and also releasing a limited edition 2600 version of Mr. Run and Jump, full of nostalgic pixel goodness. This version will be released in authentic cartridge format, with preorders available soon on the Atari website.
