Coriolis: Wake of the Icons Launched Today

In dreams and visions, something calls out into the dark space of the Third Horizon – a new presence or something old? It may hold the answers for the future – about a prophecy, the Chosen and the coming Horizon Wars. 

Free League Publishing today released Wake of the Icons, the long-awaited third and final chapter of the epic Mercy of the Icons campaign or the acclaimed Coriolis – The Third Horizon roleplaying game.

Coriolis: Wake of the Icons is a lavishly illustrated book of over 200 pages.

The expansion includes:

  • Extensive background information for the Gamemaster, describing the events which threaten all of the Third Horizon.
     
  • A Song for Kua: The first scenario starts with a series of visions, bringing the characters back to Kua.
     
  • The Tenth Icon: The second scenario sets the characters on a diplomatic mission to Sadaal to acquire the Nadir Flotilla as war in the Third Horizon grows closer.
     
  • The Horizon Wars: In the final climactic scenario, war breaks out and the characters must lead the people of the Third Horizon to victory.
     
  • A metagame in which the Gamemaster and the players can play out the fleet movements and clashes of the war.
     
  • An extensive appendix containing over twenty different ship types that take part in the war of the horizons.

The expansion features original artwork from ALIEN RPG and BLADE RUNNER RPG artists Gustaf Ekelund and Martin Grip, and the campaign is created by game writer Rickard Antroia. The rules are based on the acclaimed Year Zero Engine, used in award-winning games such as the official Blade Runner RPG, ALIEN RPG, Vaesen – Nordic Horror Roleplaying, Tales From the Loop, and Forbidden Lands.

Coriolis – The Third Horizon is an acclaimed science fiction roleplaying game set in a remote cluster of star systems called The Third Horizon. It is a place ravaged by conflicts and war, but also home to proud civilizations, both new and old. In this game, you will crew a space ship and travel the Horizon. You will explore the ancient ruins of the Portal Builders, undertake missions for the powerful factions and partake in the game of political intrigue on Coriolis station – the centre of power in the Third Horizon. You might even encounter strange beings from the Dark Between the Stars.
