Southern Charm Meets Old English Heritage in Sophisticated LT1 Defender

ECD Auto Design (ECD), the world’s largest Land Rover restoration company renowned for bespoke builds today unleashes Project White Tiger. Powered by a Corvette LT1 engine, the all-white beauty delicately blends Southern charm and old-money aesthetics for a custom daily driver like no other.

“Project White Tiger blends British history with American history in an entirely fresh way. It’s exactly what we love at ECD – genuine European design with unique New World ideas,” said ECD CXO and co-founder Tom Humble.

Project White Tiger will roll to its North Carolina home on gleaming 16-inch Chawton White Wolf wheels – perfectly color-matched to the side steps, vents, roll cage and rear ladder in a timeless Land Rover hue. Underneath the shiny white is a streamlined LT1 engine, EBC brake calipers and a stainless steel exhaust, effectively updating the heritage British farm vehicle with modern performance capabilities. Classically Americana, the vintage Defender fits in outside a debutante ball and on the Carolinas’ white-sand beaches.

Charming rustic accents continue inside with the wooden steering wheel, Nostalgia VT gauges and artfully pre-distressed tan leather dashboard. On chilly days in North Carolina, the driver and front-row passenger can take advantage of the luxe matching heated leather racing seats with old-school diamond stitching. The older Defender has space for an additional six to tag along on day trips to the Blue Ridge Mountains, with four inward-facing jump seats in the load area. Cutting-edge audio – JL Audio speakers, duo Kenwood subwoofers, CarPlay and Bluetooth – round out advanced tech enhancements.
