Review: Kiwi Design Quest 2 Carrying Case

Meta has announced the release of the all new Quest 3 VR Headset. Many people will run out and buy the all new device and try out new features. KIWI design will be releasing new Quest 3 accessories in Q4! And they have developed an upgrade kit for the KIWI design Quest 2 Comfort Head Strap series users! But for the majority of us who will still enjoy our Quest 2 I have another wonderful review for those of you. Traveling with expensive equipment is a daily hazard for me with conferences, podcasting, reporting on the news and working in EMS. Thankfully Kiwi Design has graced us with another incredible product for the day to day use.

Design

The firs thing you will notice when looking at the case is how sleek and smooth it appears. If you are a fan of Starfield, it has this picturesque Starborn appearance and feel. If you have no idea what I am talking about then it can only be described as futuristic and robotic. The hard outer shell comes in a dark and seductive dark black/grey color. Not only does it look great and professional but it gives off an extremely expensive vibe without the overly hefty price tag.

The hard shell on the outside is extremely durable, scratch resistant and solid to allow it to bang around in a luggage compartment, trunk or where ever without damaging anything on the inside. The compartment is sealed with an extra strong zipper that holds everything safe and tight inside. The carrying handle is capable of supporting 15kg or approximately 33lbs.

Once you open this up you see a plethora of space available to hold your VR and all of your accessories. Mine was able to hold the VR, with the incredible Comfort Head Strap, 2 controllers with the Extended Controller Grips, and the 10000mAh Battery Pack for extended play. Inside there are straps to hold everything inside down to keep them secured and steady.

My only complaint with this case was trying to figure out exactly how to put everything inside. There weren’t really any instructions on the proper way to store your devices to it took me a few minutes to actually go through trial and error. But once I realized the way they were supposed to go in, it all made sense and they fit perfectly.

Protection

I discussed above the features of protection but I do want to touch on a few extra facts. I personally risked my VR because I trust in Kiwi Design products and know their worth. I tossed my case around the house, down the stairs, it was tossed into the trunk and smacked around during my travels, The case showed no signs of wear and tear, the VR was beyond protected and safe. The double zipper kept the case sealed tight and didn’t allow for any dirt, dust or anything to seep in and touch my VR. I would not recommend going out purposely trying this out, take my word for it. I am a professional and did the hard work for you.

Overview

Once again Kiwi Design has created a next level product for the every day person on a budget that is manageable for most people. If you are like me and take your VR out with you for parties, work, whatever then you need to protect your purchase and this is the best option to do it. Not only does it secure everything it looks phenomenal while doing it. Head over to Kiwi Design and pick one up, for the price of $69.99 plus check out their whole line up.
