If you’ve read anything from me then you already know I am a fan of Kiwi Design and my Meta Quest 2 VR headset. I will definitely be getting a Meta Quest 3 in the future but for now I will enjoy my Quest 2. However KIWI design will be releasing new Quest 3 accessories in Q4! And they have developed an upgrade kit for the KIWI design Quest 2 Comfort Head Strap series users! So my headset will be able to come with me to the new product! But for now I was able to play for even longer than before with my new battery pack add on.
I host parties pretty often that include a lot of VR games. My friends and co-workers all know I have the latest and greatest games and we love to spend the night playing all of them. The downside is when the VR actually dies and we have to wait for a charge or if we hook the extended charging cable up while playing which ruins the effect. Now I have been using this Battery Pack to extend game play exponentially.
Before we would get 2-3 hours of game play per full charge. With the battery pack we are getting around 8-10 hours of play which is way more than enough time for even our longest nights together. What is also nice is that once you’re done playing, you can just leave it plugged in inside the case and it will charge your device while its sitting.
Comfort is another feature of this product that I didn’t expect to be great. I was actually surprised quite a bit. The pack is able to be moved from the top of the head to the back to allow for proper weight distribution and balance on your head. The battery pack doesn’t have too much weight to it either which is nice but does feel solid in the hand.
Charging the pack is simple as plugging it in and letting it go. It will take approximately 2.5 hours to charge the pack from empty to full which really isn’t long at all. Especially when the VR will last 2-3 hours by itself. There are light indicators on the pack as well to show your what the battery level is at.
Overall
If you are an avid player who really enjoys deep diving into the VR world or playing with groups for longer periods, than this is the pack for you. It is extremely easy to add onto your VR, it has multiple options to provide you the most comfort while playing. This battery pack gives you 2-3 times the length of normal game play as well.
