Challengermode to Power the First-Ever Counter-Strike 2 Major in Partnership with PGL

Leading esports platform Challengermode has been selected as the Exclusive Platform Partner for the historic PGL Counter-Strike 2 Copenhagen Major 2024, the first-ever Counter-Strike 2 major. Organized by PGL, this milestone tournament represents one of the most significant events in the 2024 esports calendar.

Over the years, the Challengermode platform has been the chosen venue for numerous prestigious, large-scale esports events in various titles, hosted by the most prominent organizers for players globally. Earlier this year, Challengermode was notably used to run open qualifiers for the BLAST.tv Paris Major.

Challengermode’s platform is optimally equipped for global esports events, with qualifiers taking place across Europe, America, and Asia. The platform’s sophisticated tournament infrastructure makes the administration of large tournaments on a global scale more efficient and user-friendly than ever before, while players and visitors can easily participate and follow the events. In light of Valve’s initiative to cultivate a more open and fair Counter-Strike esports ecosystem by 2025, Challengermode’s approach to transparent and open qualifying processes positions it at the forefront of these new industry standards.

Robel Efrem, CEO at Challengermode, said: “As a vital infrastructure provider within the esports ecosystem, Challengermode is fully committed and confident in our role. Our collaboration with PGL, a leader in orchestrating some of the most significant publisher activations in esports, is a strong affirmation of the robustness and scalability of our technology. Partnering for the inaugural Counter-Strike 2 Major is not just a big honor; it perfectly aligns with Challengermode’s core mission to foster growth and elevate professionalism in competitive gaming across the globe.”

Silviu Stroie, CEO at PGL, said: “PGL CS2 Copenhagen Major 2024 is just a few months away, and we are delighted to provide the best experience for players, teams, and viewers. We believe our partners will deliver a smooth experience for all Counter-Strike fans and players. We are proud to host the first CS 2 Major, and we aim to gift a fantastic present to the community in March 2024.”

The qualifying rounds for this historic event are set to start in January 2024, leading up to the main event at the Royal Arena in Copenhagen in March 2024. Teams interested in participating in the open qualifiers in any region are encouraged to visit the PGL Space on Challengermode, where all relevant information and tournament details are readily available.
