Wreaths Across America Radio To Broadcast a Celebration of Vietnam VeteransFrom the Washington National Cathedral

 Wreaths Across America Radio is set to broadcast live on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at 3 pm (EST) as a poignant part of the Vietnam War 50th Anniversary recognition. The broadcast will commemorate the 3.4 million individuals who served in Southeast Asia.

At the iconic Washington National Cathedral (3101 Wisconsin Ave NW, Washington, DC), a dedicated team of radio professionals will engage with guests, providing insightful commentary on live events. AT 4 pm (EST) Wreaths Across America Radio will broadcast in its entirety a “Celebration of Character & Courage” candlelight program. Subsequently, a reception at the prestigious Washington Hilton (1919 Connecticut Ave, Washington, DC) will follow.

Wreaths Across America Radio pledges to deliver a once-in-a-lifetime broadcast dedicated to the service and sacrifice of Vietnam veterans and their families, capturing the essence of this momentous occasion.

The National Cathedral event was conceived and planned by a coalition of Veterans and Military Service Organizations to support the Congressionally authorized United States Vietnam War Commemoration. A comprehensive list of event sponsors/supporters is available at https://afa.org.

This commemorative event will feature distinguished military, veteran, and Gold Star Family speakers, along with captivating performances by the West Point Glee and Alumni Glee Clubs, uniting veterans, active service members, and families.

Wreaths Across America is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded to continue and expand the annual wreath-laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery, which was begun by Maine businessman Morrill Worcester in 1992.  The organization’s mission – Remember, Honor, Teach – is carried out in part each year by coordinating wreath-laying ceremonies in December at Arlington and thousands of veterans’ cemeteries and other locations in all 50 states and beyond.
