Under a Rock’s Innovative Travel Features, MMORPG Event Teases, Sci-Fi Universe Expansions and More!

The new year may have only just begun, but the Gameforge realms are already buzzing with excitement! This January’s newsletter is brimming with updates, including a special feature on the mobility mechanics in the newly unveiled survival game, Under A Rock.

Under A Rock (PC, PlayStation, and Xbox)

During the thrilling (and very colorful!) Under a Rockannouncement trailer, you may have spotted a variety of travel methods. The upcoming open-world survival craft game features:

• Gliding: Players can fly through the skies with gliders they build themselves. Mastering the glider requires skill and an awareness of endurance and weather conditions.
• Grappling Hook: The grappling hook offers the freedom to move across different surfaces. It is important to pay attention to stamina and exercise caution when falling at high speed.
• Climbing: It is possible to climb any surface in Under A Rock, from craggy rocks to towering trees. Stamina and the tools you use play an important role in your climbing skills.
• Swimming & Diving: Underwater worlds filled with shipwrecks and mysterious ruins await players. Here, stamina and oxygen levels are crucial factors.
• Riding Creatures: The stamina of the creatures, the effects of the weather, and the equipment, such as saddles, play an important role here.

Each method offers a unique way to navigate through the game’s different biomes. Some methods are available from the start, while others require you to craft or tame animals.

NosTale (PC)

Popular anime action MMORPG NosTale is kicking off the new year right with a dazzling variety of new content and events, including captivating new quests and challenges to unmissable time-limited events.

New features:

Act 9 – Secrets of the Undercity: 

• Champion level cap increases to 90.
• New equipment and accessories and two new raids: Pollutus and Giant Arma.
• Over 100 new quests and six new passive skill books.
• Introduction of four new Steam Drones fairies and upgrade systems for fairies.

Review of the winter event:

• Players battled the giant snowman and Maru the millennium tiger in showstopping special raids.
• NosVille, Port Alveus, and the Minilands were decorated in beautiful blankets of crisp, white snow.

The rewards for quests in Act 5.1 were significantly improved and offered players a rewarding event.

OGame (Web Browser, iOS, and Android)

Take to the stars again in space-war MMO OGame with the introduction of a new server and the development of a combat simulator.

First Update to Gameforge’s Own Combat Simulator:

The OGame team is currently planning to launch the combat simulator on test servers in early 2024. The simulator is currently in the beta phase and only supports 1v1 situations. Future enhancements will include the ACS (Alliance Combat System) and IPM (Interplanetary Missiles). The community is invited to actively participate through feedback, opinions, and other concerns in the forum.

Gameforge is looking forward to the successful launch of the new server universe and eagerly awaits the community’s feedback on the combat simulator.

This week, OGame has introduced a new server with a new chance to dominate the cosmos!

Brace yourself for multiple new developments and content additions that promise to elevate the AION Classic EU experience to new heights. Multiple major updates are currently planned to release between now and summer, including update 2.7 (March – April), while a new class (Executioner) and an increased level cap will provide even the most dedicated and completionist AION Classic players with gripping new experiences and formidable challenges.

Runes of Magic (PC)

Gameforge also welcomes a new face to the magical and historical world of Runes of Magic! No, it’s not a new NPC, it’s new product manager Patrick, who has introduced himself to Taborea with a new letter here that teases what’s to come from the popular MMO.

2023 saw the much-lauded new Timeless Instance, an endgame version of the Necropolis of Mirrors, and public world bosses added to the game and 2024 will bring even more fresh content. 2024 will be Runes of Magic’s 15th anniversary, during which can expect a new Timeless Instance to arrive, offering more dungeons to conquer and six bosses, each with engaging new mechanics.
