MAYPORT, Fla. – Petty Officer 1st Class Timothy Templin, a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, serves aboard USS Lassen, a U.S. Navy warship operating out of Mayport, Florida.
Templin graduated from Shaler Area High School in 2017.
The skills and values needed to succeed in the Navy are similar to those found in Pittsburgh.
“My hometown taught me about blue-collar work ethic and grit,” said Templin. “It also taught me that you have to stay committed to get the job done.”
