TOYMAKER: THREADS OF JOY 🪡, THE COZY TOY-CRAFTING AND STORE MANAGEMENT SIMULATOR, LAUNCHES ITS FIRST DEMO

Toymaker: Threads of Joy, the cozy plushie-crafting and store management simulator developed by Salamanca-based studio Uprising Studios, has just launched its demo on Steam. 🫶

Set in SalamancaSpain, from the 1910s, players will sew adorable plushies for their customers and grow their business, while becoming immersed in a story influenced by magic and folklore. As they progress, they’ll uncover the myths and mysteries hidden within the ancient streets of this legendary Spanish city.

Inspired by the folk tale “The Cave of Salamanca,” in which a mysterious man secretly taught magic to his students in an underground cave, the story intertwines reality and myth in a world shaped by the player’s decisions.

Toymaker: Threads of Joy is set to launch in 2026 on Steam and Steam Deck, with a Nintendo Switch version also planned should the studio reach its goal in their upcoming Kickstarter campaign, which will go live in March with exclusive rewards such as plushies and the chance to customize in-game content.

Main features:

Customize your creations. Sew everything together and add beautiful details and trinkets to craft the perfect toy for your next customers, with no time constraints, because life is already stressful enough.

Craft with care. It’s up to you to define what the next cherished plushie will be. Depende de ti definir cuál será el próximo peluche más querido. Try out different things in a chill and cozy workshop.

Manage a successful business. As the word gets out about your shop, customers will commission new toys and haggle for a better price. Make sure you understand their needs because your reputation will go up or down depending on how you treat your clientele. A happy patron will recommend you to their friends!

Magical narrative. Engage in pleasant and tactful conversation with your clients and satisfy their wishes for plushies so they will reward you with hidden stories and mysteries.

Visit emblematic locations in Salamanca like its markets, squares, university and even the countryside in a captivating journey inspired by folktales and mythology, and meet historical figures from that era.

Impossible paths. Shape the fate of Salamanca by following one of the two distinct paths with their own challenges and story. Your decision will influence the future of the town and the legacy of your toy shop, so choose wisely! No generative AI has been used or will be used at any point for the development of Toymaker: Threads of Joy. Everything you see has been handcrafted by our wonderful (and very human) team.
