Publisher gamigo Announces the Lunar Plunge Event for Trove, Where Chaos Wolves Run Wild

Darkness looms over the lands as MMORPG publisher gamigo announces Trove’s annual Lunar Plunge event.

From August 13 to August 27, PC players will take up arms and join the Knights and Acolytes of the Sun and Moon in the fight against the Wolves of Chaos and Shadow! These agents of chaos have invaded the Cursed Vale and Shores of the Everdark biomes, and it’s up to brave Trovians to drive them from the land and back into the shadows from whence they came.

During the event, players are primarily tasked with collecting “Tainted Lunar Drops,” found as ground harvests and dropped from Chaos Wolves, and “Shadow Armor Fragments,” dropped from Shadow Wolves. Each item ties directly to the 10-step event quest, aiding Trovians in their fight against Q’bthulhu and his twisted wolves.

The event also introduces a new banner style, “Moonshadow Standard,” crafted by Quartermaster Herrich as part of the questline. The banner disappears at the end of the event, but players can use the Loot Collector to save the style. Additionally, players can unlock two new allies, the Mothwing Nightlion and the Moonshadow Guardian, and a new mount, the Moonshadow Stag.

Several fan-favorite items also return, including the Elysian Rally, Phase Walker, and Wishful Thinking banner styles, each obtained the same way as the new banner: by crafting & loot collecting it. The W’uhfii ally is also back, returning as a rare drop from the Shadow and Chaos wolves. Other returning goodies include the Phase Glider mount, the Blade of the Alpha weapon style, the Guise of the Alpha hat, and more!

Trove is available free to play on Windows PC via Steam and the official websitePlayStation 4Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
