“Drawing from my personal experience in the French military, Ashes of Mankind: Citadels brings a realistic perspective to the extraction shooter genre,” said Adrien David, CEO and Creative Director at Black Ice Studios. “By combining the high stakes of tactical combat with our innovative competitive extraction mode, with direct player competition over gear and resources, we’ve created an intense world where every decision could be the difference between survival and defeat. This is a game for players who thrive on realism, strategy, and the thrill of battle.”

Set in the post-apocalyptic world of Ortus, Ashes of Mankind: Citadels is an ultra-realistic FPS/extraction shooter emphasizing teamwork and situational preparation. Players squad up to battle human and AI enemies for meticulously designed weapons and gear essential for ascending the Citadel. Customization is crucial in Ashes of Mankind: Citadels. The innovative modular armor system fine tune loadouts for maximum protection and key tactical advantages.

“As a player-focused publisher, we’re launching this campaign with Black Ice to both build a vibrant community and ensure players are getting the most content possible at launch,” said Nicolas Gilot, Ultra’s Co-Founder and CEO. “After several years spent developing and polishing Ashes of Mankind: Citadels, the Black Ice Studios team is incredibly committed to making the project a success. With backer’s support and feedback, we’ll be able to offer some truly unique quality of life extras that will bring players in and keep them coming back at launch and beyond.

The game has already caught the attention of high-profile industry partners. Through a collaboration with Intel, Black Ice is integrating XeSS super resolution technology enabling high-fidelity graphics without sacrificing performance. RAZER is also coming on board to design Ashes of Mankind: Citadels peripherals, exclusive branded content, and exciting offline activations tailored for serious players.

A full list of backer rewards are planned for the campaign, along with spectacular Stretch Goal gifts detailed on the campaign page. Here are just some of the supporter gifts planned:
