LINGO RELEASES SPACE-THEMED STEM KITS AS FOUNDER PREPARES FOR HISTORIC ALL-FEMALE BLUE ORIGIN FLIGHT

LINGO, the maker of innovative STEM lesson kits that have empowered over 10,000 students with hands-on engineering and coding skills, has launched two new space-themed kits just as founder and CEO Aisha Bowe prepares to make history on Blue Origin’s NS-31 mission, which features the first all-female spaceflight crew since 1963.

From community college to NASA engineer to space, Bowe’s journey models what she hopes to inspire through LINGO: the belief that STEM careers are within reach for all students.

The new Countdown to Launch and Earth Observer kits introduce students to fundamental space concepts through interactive, real-world applications. Countdown to Launch allows students to program a rocket launch countdown timer, while Earth Observer guides them in building a CubeSat (small satellite) prototype to explore Earth observation and climate monitoring.

“Space has long inspired dreamers of all ages, including myself,” said Bowe, who founded LINGO with the mission of providing STEM learning resources to 1 million students. The company has raised more than $2.3 million in private venture capital, led by Pinnacle Private Ventures. “These LINGO kits are for the next generation of explorers, the ones who will ultimately take us to even greater heights.”

The demand for STEM education has never been greater. It has been estimated that over 80% of future jobs will require STEM skills, and millions of those jobs may go unfilled due to knowledge gaps. Programs like LINGO are essential in preparing today’s students for tomorrow’s workforce the kits are already being used by Fortune 500 companies, universities, and global organizations to build a robust STEM pipeline.

Each LINGO kit features:

  • Step-by-step guided lessons
  • Reusable electronic components
  • Access to tutorial videos
  • Hands-on projects that develop coding, engineering, and critical thinking skills

“I hope LINGO gives students a new vision of what they can achieve,” Bowe said, “whether it’s a career in STEM or maybe even their own trip to space someday.”

Bowe’s historic Blue Origin mission will include journalist Gayle King, singer Katy Perry, research scientist Amanda Nguyen, pilot and Emmy Award winning journalist Lauren Sánchez, and film producer Kerianne Flynn.
