Publisher Arcane Wonders Announces Release of Mezen, a Tile-Based Puzzle Game Inspired by Traditional Siberian Artisans

Arcane Wonders, a leading publisher of tabletop games, has announced the U.S. launch of the gorgeous tile-based puzzle game Mezen. Inspired by the mezen-style of painting, players step into the role of a northern craftsman, creating intricate ornamental paintings to order. Players will combine symbols and flip tiles to accomplish goals and earn points, aiming to have the most points by the final round.
Mezen is a puzzle tile-based game in which players compete to achieve a series of scoring goals by removing tiles from their 5×5 board, flipping them over, sliding the tiles above them down, and then adding the newly flipped tiles from the top. The gorgeous Siberian art makes Mezen’s table presence absolutely stunning.
In each round, the active player selects one of the animals on the tiles, and ALL players choose a group of one or more tiles with that animal to remove from their grid and flip over. Then they will slide the tiles above the open spaces down and place the newly flipped tiles back in the open spaces at the top. Then, everyone will score the current round’s scoring objective. After the 5th round’s objective is scored, players will gain one point per black tile showing on their board. After the 10th (final) round’s objective is scored, players will gain one point per white tile. The player with the highest score wins!
Mezen is available now for $39.99 USD on Arcane Wonders’ official website and Amazon.
