AAA, Partners Hosting Free Steering Wheel Lock Device Event for Hyundai and Kia Owners

To deter vehicle theft, AAA East Central is partnering with Meadville Police to distribute free steering wheel lock devices to Kia and Hyundai owners. The event will be held on Monday at the AAA East Central branch office in Meadville.

There has been a significant increase in the theft of these vehicles manufactured between 2011 and 2022. At the event, AAA and its partners will distribute the locks on a first-come, first-served basis. Attendees will be asked to show their vehicle registration or insurance card.

The Steering Wheel Lock Device Event will be held on Monday, May 19, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the AAA branch office in Meadville (18939 Park Avenue Plaza, Suite 7, weather permitting).

AAA East Central is a not-for-profit association with 69 local offices in Kentucky, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia serving 2.7 million members.  Past news releases are available at news.eastcentral.aaa.com.  Follow us on Twitter and Facebook.
