Review : Airdog Aircap Car Purifier

Driving through the city you tend to smell some wildly different smells than you would expect. Most people smell it, think nothing of it and move on. But then there are parents who worry about what their little ones are breathing and inhaling. I personally have always had an air purifier in both kids rooms just to give them a better shot. Then I found out about Airdog and the Aircap Car Purifier. This little tiny device packs a punch stronger than Mike Tyson in The Hangover.
Design
The Aircap is a small device that resembles a slim Yeti mug. It fits great in the backseat cup holder of our Acadia. This is also perfect because it is out of site and out of mind. The size of it is deceiving however, because of how powerful it actually is. The top portion is able to open and move independently from the base. This is extremely helpful if you want to use this in another space like your bedside table or gym, really anywhere.

When in the extended position the base provides enough weight to maintain the position very well. The filter is also designed to be removed and washed instead of having to buy a new one every time. This in itself is always a key point for any type of system that requires a filter. The Aircap also has a switch on the bottom that allows you to select whether you want it to run for a time period OR based on motion. This is a great design feature that really gives it some worth.
The Aircap also comes with a couple straps that allow you to hang it from the headrest of a car or other places if desired. This works well with the motion sensor as well. It gives you the benefit of holding it in different places if the cupholder is occupied or you want it specifically near something precious like a child.
Features
The Aircap, as I mentioned, has a neat feature of timing. The switch allows you to select an on/off mode or the motion sensor mode. With the motion sensor it will run for 15 minutes and turn off if no other motion is noticed. This is super beneficial especially in the car so you can set it and forget it. The top of the unit has push buttons that allow you to set the speed as low, normal and turbo. The speeds have a small difference in sound but none of them are terrible. The turbo is inaudible when in the car but does provide a nice relaxing sound if you use it for bed.

The battery life is phenomenal as well. An hour of charge gives you 3 hours of low speed and an hour on turbo. This is a great thing to have going for it. We leave it plugged in while sitting in the cupholder and never have to worry about it.
Overall
When allergy season rolls around we all would do anything to make it easier to breathe and not have to sneeze 100 times on a quick drive. The Aircap by Airdog has immensely helped my family with that issue in the car. This has been an incredible filter for us and our children’s air quality during many drives and road trips. The unit fits so well in the cupholder and has also been used hanging from the headrest when the cup holder was needed. It is so small and lightweight, quiet even on the turbo feature and the battery life is great if you want to take it out with you or use it overnight to help sleep. If you care about your air quality and want a simple and efficient way to improve it then head over to HERE and pick you your Aircap today.
