TTRPGs Trashumanism, Eldritch Automata, and More to be Demonstrated at UK Games Expo

Tabletop publisher Gehenna Gaming and multimedia creator and musician Le Destroy today are announcing that they’ll be bringing multiple new gritty and futuristic tabletop role-playing games to the UK Game Expo from May 31- June 1, 2025. For the first time, the cyberpunk-themed Trashumanism will be available for hands-on demonstrations, along with Gehenna’s mecha meets massive ancient evil monstrosities Eldritch Automata.
Trashumanism and other demo sessions will be available at the Expo on May 31 and June 1.
Trashumanism and Eldritch Automata writer Chris Handley will be on-site at the booth to speak with fans and media. Copies of the Trashumanism graphic novel and album will also be available for sale!
In development by writing team Kristina Olson (Le Destroy), Nathan Olson, and Chris Handley (Warhammer 40,000: Wrath & Glory, Iron Kingdoms, Eldritch Automata), Trashumanism riffs on the concept of human evolution as people become integrated with increasingly intelligent forms of technology. Trashumanism explores the dangers of genetic engineering through a rules-light, bio-punk tabletop RPG, emphasizing player decisions and their consequences. Utilizing the Resistance System, made popular by hit tabletop games Heart and Spire, players’ actions can affect the status quo, be it a minor tweak or a world-altering change. Rather than controlling a singular character, players will control a group of freedom fighters who are part of a revolutionary cell fighting against the megacorporations and oppressive systems in place.
Eldritch Automata is a narrative-driven tabletop RPG from creators Nicholas Francia and Ian E. Muller that blends fast-paced mech combat with psychological horror and social intrigue. Designed with a “low-floor/high-ceiling” philosophy, it features simple, accessible mechanics and a quick character creation process while offering deep, tactical gameplay that will keep veteran TTRPG players engaged.
Set in a bleak world plagued by monstrous Horrors and celestial Seraphs, players pilot powerful Mecha (Automata) under constant psychological pressure. Managing Stress and Stability is just as important as mastering combat, and the real challenge lies within: maintaining your humanity in a world on the brink. Personal relationships and drama between survivors shape the narrative, with interpersonal bonds influencing both roleplay and combat.
