MSI Partners with the National Palace Museum to Launch Limited-Edition EV Premium Smart Charger

Global leader in new energy and AI technology, MSI (Micro-Star International) today announced a collaboration with Taiwan’s National Palace Museum to launch a limited-edition EV Premium Smart Charger. Drawing design inspiration from the Southern Song Dynasty’s renowned Jizhou kiln masterpiece — the black-glazed leaf-pattern bowl — the design integrates classic artistry into charging infrastructure to redefine both the appearance and the experience of energy technology. This innovation delivers a functional yet artistic solution for homes, offices, and premium architectural spaces. At the same time, the National Palace Museum is actively supporting green energy policy by being among the first cultural institutions to adopt MSI’s smart chargers, underscoring its commitment to sustainability.

Developed, manufactured, and serviced entirely in Taiwan by MSI’s Charging & Energy Storage Division, the charger has earned the MIT Smile Mark, Taiwan Excellence Gold Award, and 2024 Taiwan Excellence Award. It has also met stringent safety certifications, including Taiwan VPC, European IEC, and U.S. UL. Its gently curved silhouette and mirrored black-glaze finish capture the refined minimalism of the Song Dynasty porcelain. Inside, MSI’s exclusive smart control app enables remote management, scheduling, and energy monitoring for intuitive operation, stable charging, and long-term durability. Expertly engineered for IP55 protection, salt-spray resistance, and performance at altitudes up to 3,000 meters, the charger offers exceptional durability. Each unit includes a two-year warranty and approximately USD 5 million in product liability insurance.

Sam Chern, Vice President of Marketing at MSI, stated: “MSI has long been committed to the integrated innovation of AI, new energy, and consumer technology. This collaboration with the National Palace Museum is more than a borrowing of aesthetics; it is a living dialogue between technology and cultural heritage. We aim to take EV charging equipment beyond pure functionality, integrating it seamlessly into a space’s design language and elevating it as a source of beauty in daily life.”

Elsa Yeh, Associate Director of MSI’s Charging & Energy Storage Division, added: “Electric vehicles are transforming the way we travel. MSI’s mission in the new energy sector is to create smart charging solutions that are easy to use, beautiful in design, and seamlessly connected. This special edition charger for the National Palace Museum was conceived, designed, and built entirely by the MSI team, reflecting our deep expertise in new energy and system integration.”
