Gameforge Previews New Zone Ahead of AION Classic’s Major 4.0 Update

Gameforge is dialing the excitement up to 11! Following the recent announcement of AION Classic’s 4.0 “Light of Atreia” update—which launches on October 29—Gameforge has decided to share additional information on the new zone coming to AION Classic

Tiamaranta Mesa, which is divided into two main areas, ground and sky, is an open PvP map coming in update 4.0. Both Elyos and Asmodians from the main server can join and play together in Tiamaranta, an area where the main content after level 60 is located.

On the ground of Tiamaranta, the Elyos and Asmodian territories are separated: the Elyos occupy the Western side of the map, whereas the Asmodians occupy the Eastern part. The two sides are divided by the central area, designed as the main battlefield of Tiamaranta and occupied by the Balaur: a disputed land where inter-factional combat is possible and further content can be unlocked by fighting the Watching Eyes and taking control of the areas they are located in.

Meanwhile, the Balic Treasury itself is an instanced PvPvE area within Tiamaranta which can be entered at any time. Treasure chests can be found and looted, providing that players have found the relevant key by slaying the monsters residing inside. At a certain time, a sealed treasure chest can also appear and be opened by multiple players at once.

Tiamat’s army wants to secure the Abyss rifts for the purposes of transporting Blood Drana. Every Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, the embattled rifts appear around the Tiamat Garrison and the Balic Treasury in Tiamaranta Mesa. Players can join these Teva Dimensional Rift Battles together with their Legion mates to stop the invasion of the Balaur.

Elsewhere in the zone, several new raids are available at fixed days and times each week, while players can also hunt down special named monsters, both solo and in groups. Throughout Tiamaranta, Shugos from the Black Cloud Merchants will appear selling various goods.

AION Classic’s 4.0 Light of Atreia update launches on October 29. Stay tuned for additional updates leading up to the launch.
