Gameforge Showcases New Dungeons Coming to AION Classic in Major 4.0 Update

AION Classic’s 4.0 “Light of Atreia” update is right around the corner, and Gameforge has decided to spotlight the upcoming dungeons ahead of its October 29 release. Following Gameforge’s recent announcement, which shared insights into AION Classic’s new zone, Tiamaranta, the team has decided to keep the momentum going with the three upcoming dungeons: Iron CitadelLabyrinth of Echoes, and Cradle of Doom.

The Iron Citadel is a PvE Time Attack instance dungeon, where the level of the bonus reward box received at the end changes depending on the number of named monsters killed inside the instance. The Citadel was considered one of the best defenses of the Reian, until the Balaur attacked — wiping out the Reians hard work in moments, and costing a great many lives in the process. Designed for 2-6 players, The Iron Citadel contains five intermediate Named Monsters, as well as the main boss, Vasharti. Rewards include Eternal grade earrings, belts and head accessories, along with Manastones.

The Labyrinth of Echoes is a PvE dungeon, originally built as a training facility for the Daevas, in order to strengthen their combat skills to prepare for the battle against Tiamat and her army. The dungeon consists of three different stages, with each stage featuring a different boss: Tahabata Pyrelord, Legion Commander Bakarma, and Angry Kromede Vision. Victory over each boss rewards a chest that requires 4 players to open — with rewards including Eternal grade PvP leg armour, a Title card, crafting materials, Manastones, Kinah, and Eternal grade weapons.

Lastly, the Cradle of Doom is another PvE challenge, this time a 3v3 Boss Conquest Attack Dungeon, where Elyos and Asmodians fight against the agents Veille and Mastarius of the respective other faction. Three players per team will match and engage in a fierce PvE battle, with the Asmodians facing off against Veille and the Elyos taking on Mastarius. Once an opponent is defeated, the successful group can then teleport into the reward room, where multiple chests contain the battle rewards. Both groups can enter this room and open the chests, but the group that defeats their agent first will get a key that opens an extra treasure chest. Rewards in this dungeon include Forgotten Memory Fragments, Unknown Painting Fragments, Doomsayer’s Wing Fragments, and Abyss Relics.

AION Classic’s 4.0 Light of Atreia update launches on October 29. Stay tuned for additional updates.
