Today Level Headed Games, a studio led by industry veteran Leah Hoyer, officially announced its cooperative arena party game, Whimpact! A vibrant online multiplayer title, Whimpact! infuses the creature-collection of Pokemon and the joyful arena play of Fall Guys.

Enter the land of Whimpact!, a colorful, co-operative, adventurous world where caring is a superpower. Team up with the Whims, magical companions who grow stronger with care and attention, and who share their other-worldly abilities to help players take on bigger challenges in the cooperative arena. Brandishing whimsical weapons like a watermelon saber, a team of up to eight players must defeat robotic opponents through Easter-egg-style hunts. Only when working together can you recover enough lost Starcane energy to save the world of Whimpact!.
Unlike a typical creature-collector, Whimpact! flips the script: when you take on the Whims as companions, they give YOU superpowers! Each Whim offers different abilities for players to utilize like higher jumping, damage resistance, increased speed, and more. With the option to equip two at any given time, plus the ability to swap Whims from their packs on the fly, players can experiment with different combinations to determine which powers suit their play styles best.

- Collect and Raise Whims: By giving them a home and tending to their needs, Whims reveal their true power and grow stronger. Take them as companion creatures into the arena where they’ll imbue players with amazing powers — the stronger the Whim, the better you play!
- Co-Op Arena Gameplay: Journey to The Beyond to reclaim Starcane energy in an extreme egg hunt! Either solo or with up to eight teammates, work together to find and gather the most valuable Starcane bundles by navigating challenging obstacles before time runs out. The more points your team scores, the better rewards you receive!
- Colorful Creature Collection: Bring color back to the world of Whimpact! There are seven color and six power Whim variants to collect, bringing the powers of Speed, Strength, High Jump, Long Jump, Antifreeze and Magnetization.
- Cosmetics and Decor Galore: Decorate your Home Tile to show off your style and level your Whims up faster. Earn cosmetics to personalize your character, display your accomplishments, and dress your Whims up in an ever-growing number of outfits.
Level Headed Games founder and CEO Leah Hoyer worked to assemble an impressive, global team. Originally, Whimpact! began under Hoyer’s previous leadership role as GM and Vice President of Creative for Wizards of the Coast, setting out to be a new multiplayer title to expand Wizards’ market.
After development was halted under the closure of its new IP studio, Hoyer brokered a deal with the company to own, complete, and ensure the title’s release. Leading the charge, Hoyer brings an accomplished 20+ year career in media, previously developing and producing for some of the world’s most renowned games and entertainment companies including Disney, Xbox, Telltale Games, Bungie, and more.
