AAA to Honor Western Pennsylvania Police for Traffic Safety Efforts

WHAT: More than 60 Western Pennsylvania police departments will be awarded AAA’s prestigious Platinum Community Traffic Safety Award for their safety efforts. Twenty-two additional departments will receive gold or silver awards.

WHY: Motor vehicle crashes in Western Pennsylvania are a major cause of property damage, injury, and death each year. The officers to be honored through the AAA Community Safety Awards Program continue to strive to reduce the number of fatalities by conducting educational programs and promotional campaigns to encourage the development of safe driving habits.
