Atari Brings RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic Back to Android

It’s been just over a year since RollerCoaster Tycoon® Classic park builders on Google Play said goodbye to the classic theme park simulation. Now, Atari is delighted to announce that the game is back on Android via the Google Play store, including for those on newer devices.

“We’re very excited to bring this fan favorite back to players around the world, and even better as we are celebrating the 25th anniversary of RollerCoaster Tycoon creator Chris Sawyer’s timeless achievement,” said Ethan Stearns, VP of Games Publishing, Atari.

After obtaining the original source code, Atari partnered with the acclaimed St. Louis-based studio Graphite Lab to make the app compatible with newer Android devices. During the game’s soft launch, player demand drove it into Android’s Top 25 Paid Apps in its first week of availability!
