7 ESSENTIAL CAR ACCESSORIES THAT YOU MUST HAVE

Owning a car is already a luxury. You can go from point A to B with ease, avoid the hassles of public commute, and have full control of your time on the road. Whether you’re using your car for business or pleasure, embellishing it with useful accessories will make the ride more comfortable. But a car owner would beg the question: Which car accessories should I choose?

Donning your car with accessories doesn’t have to break the bank. Here are some affordable options that should make all your road trips enjoyable.

1. Mobile phone holder

The first and most useful car accessory that every car owner must have is a mobile phone holder. Take note, however, that this isn’t a good idea for someone who is regularly on their phone while driving. For one, you must never text and drive. But a mobile phone holder can be useful when you’re driving while looking at Google maps. You can use both hands to maneuver your car and shift gears, while being able to see where you’re going. When you also have your phone on a holder, you can easily choose songs from your playlist as well. Better yet, it’s easy for you to use Siri or voice-activated features in case you want to know the number of a heavy tow truck service or call a friend.

2. Detachable trash can

While this might be subjective, a clean car is better when you’re driving for hours. So if you’re one of those people who like to keep their cars spic and span, then I suggest getting a detachable trash can. Having a small trash can that you can attach on the car’s seat means it’s accessible for you to throw your garbage. Also, this keeps your car clutter-free. Once trash accumulates in your car, there will be weird smells coming from the different content such as food particles.

3. Small TV screen

If you and your loved ones are always going for long drives or long road trips, then having a small television screen will make the journey fun. However, make sure that you practice safety at all times. The driver should be free from any distraction that might cause serious accidents. One wrong move and your car can crash onto others or road poles. Make sure that you place the TV screens in the car’s headrest’s back. This way, only the back passengers will be able to see the TV. A driver should keep his eyes on the road at all times, so never place a TV screen on the compartment.

4. Chair cushion

Whether you drive your car to work or to sightseeing places, driving comfortably is always a better way to enjoy the journey. Other drivers might not be comfortable with the stock cushions your car has, especially if your height doesn’t allow you to have a vantage point on the road in front. To ensure that you’re comfortable and your view isn’t hindered, then grab a comfortable chair cushion to elevate you, plus ensure you have a soft seat.

5. Blind spot mirror

Although your side mirrors do a bang-up job of giving you a clear view of both sides of the road, a blind spot mirror can give you a view of all the areas that the side mirrors can’t reach. This ensures that you always keep yourself and your car safe, especially when parking in tight spaces. Also, a blind spot mirror allows you to see anyone or animals who might be standing on both sides.

6. Car organizer

If you treat your car as your home cabinet or closet, a car organizer would be nice to have. You can either purchase one that you can hang behind the front passenger seat’s headrest. This way, the organizer keeps all things in place even when you’re driving over bumpy roads. A car organizer also enables you to store loose items quickly.

7. USB chargers

When you’re going on a road trip, you might need the help of your mobile phone or gadgets for GPS. However, driving for hours can drain the battery especially if you use your phone for music. Although most current vehicles come with USB chargers, some don’t. That being said, if your car doesn’t have USB chargers, it’s high time that you grab this accessory. Charging your phones and gadgets can be a breeze.
