“We are honored that our efforts to deliver excellent quality for our customers have been recognized by J.D. Power,” said Vinay Shahani, senior vice president, U.S. Marketing and Sales, Nissan Americas. “Continuous improvement is at the heart of everything we do, and customer feedback is invaluable in guiding our quality improvements at every touchpoint, from design and engineering, through manufacturing, logistics, and sales and aftersales.”

The J.D. Power Initial Quality Study is a measure of vehicle quality based on responses from purchasers and lessees following the first 90 days of ownership. Drivers are surveyed about 227 potential problems with their vehicle covering 10 categories: infotainment; features, controls and displays; exterior; driving assistance; interior; powertrain; seats; driving experience; climate; and unspecified (unique to repair). For the first time, this year the study also incorporates data from franchised dealership repair visits.

The 2024 Nissan Murano was named best in initial quality among midsize SUVs for the fifth consecutive year. Additionally, 2024 Sentra and 2024 Altima ranked second overall, while 2024 Frontier ranked third in their respective segments for initial quality.

The 2024 Nissan Murano combines a premium, sculpted design with a finely crafted interior and intuitive, convenient technologies.
