When gamescom opens its doors this Wednesday, the halls will be packed and sweaty. Thankfully, the white hell of Permafrost offers an icy espace. Development studio SpaceRocket Games and German publisher Toplitz Productions unleash a new trailer today, giving a glimpse into the dangerous story-based survival sandbox, with Earth covered by a thick blanket of ice and snow in the aftermath of a global catastrophe.
Prepare yourself to explore an environment filled with dangerous wildlife, warring factions and the biggest enemy of them all: Nature itself. Challenge the frozen apocalypse either alone or with friends in co-operative multiplayer for up to four survivors. But be warned: If you enter the hostile landscape unprepared, you will join the many unfortunate souls who never returned home from the sub-zero temperatures that drop even further in the relentless cold zones. The rewards for entering these extremely dangerous areas are definitely worth the risk, but if you overestimate your abilities, not even your trusted dog companion will be able to rescue you.
