RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic Adds Touch Controls on Switch

Today, Atari is announcing a significant update to RollerCoaster Tycoon® Classic on Nintendo Switch. With this update, players can take advantage of the Switch’s touch-screen controls to quickly access and adjust menus, place pathways and scenery, as well as construct amazing roller coasters.

Additional updates include the ability to modify cursor speeds and other visualization settings, as well as expanded tutorials to help new players adapt from mouse and keyboard to gamepad controls. This patch coincides with the start of a 20% off sale in the North American Nintendo Store, which will run from January 27 to February 9.

The timeless park-building sim quickly broke into the top 15 best-selling games on the Switch digital storefront when it was released on December 5, 2024. RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic combines the best features from two of the original games in the series: RollerCoaster Tycoon® and RollerCoaster Tycoon® 2. Packed with content, players have enjoyed designing and building roller coasters and rides, landscaping and managing their parks since the first game was first introduced in 1999.
